Before you start the recording, make sure your microphone is on and is recording your voice.

We recommend using a headset with a built-in microphone, as this will improve your sound tremendously.

To test your microphone, do the following:

For Windows users:

  1. Open your Settings menu by either pushing your windows button or click the windows logo in the bottom left corner.

  2. Go to System.

  3. Under system select sound.

  4. The list of recording devices will appear, make sure your microphone is selected.

  5. Try speaking into your microphone, and look for the blue bar moving beside Input Level while you talk

For Mac users:

  1. Click the Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen. A menu will appear.

  2. Click System Preferences.

  3. Under system preferences select Sound either by clicking it or by searching for it in the search text box.

  4. Under Sound select the Input tab.

  5. The list of recording devices will appear. Make sure that the “Internal Microphone” is selected. Try speaking into your microphone, and look for blue bars moving beside Input Level while you talk

  6. If the blue bars are rising while you are speaking that means your microphone is properly configured
